It showed me that days Bible verse so I clicked ok. It is a Bible Verse Daily Account that popped up while I was reading a regular news email. This happened to me just a few days after getting a new iphone 6s and setting up all of my emails accounts.

In any case, explaining to this lady that the only way it got on the phone, even if you have no idea how they showed up, is by you or someone using your phone accepted all the prompts to install the damn thing. Very odd.Ĭome to think of it, your screenshots show this Daily Bible Verse and I'm wondering if that is what's going on with my mother's iPhone. Apparently there's a Mail Restore Request option and so I submitted that for her, but who knows when or if that'll actually restore anything. She spent two hours on the phone with ATT support and then asked me to take a look. Then they were gone completely after the ATT support rep told her to remove the account and re-add it to her iPhone. Only reason I became aware of this issue is because her email account had all of the inbox emails disappear and were moved to trash. I'm going to reset her device and I hope things sort out. Makes me think these configs altered something more even though I removed them and restarted the device. Frustrated, I took out my iPhone and was able to create the account without issue. Tried 3 different ways on her device and all three resulted in Cannot Create Account - An Unknown Error Has Occurred. As she did not have a backup of her phone, I attempted to create an iCloud account. What concerns me is that her device is now compromised. One was a coupon thing and another was I believe a weather one. Just encountered a user that had two of these type profiles on her phone.

Obviously these all include info created by the profile and none of our corp data. Has anyone else seen any 'malware' like this? I know he had to click several notifications and warnings about installing the profile yet we all know he denies that. The user believes he got this after clicking on an ad inside of the Weather Channel App. I took some screenshots of the config then deleted the profile promptly.

So I headed over to the device profile screen under 'settings' and sure enough I saw our MDM profile but also an additional profile installed that included settings to create an imap mail account and included 2 Comodo RSA cert's. So I went to his mail accounts under 'settings' to see what that account was and the credentials looked questionable so I took a screenshot and went to delete the account but it was listed as being controlled by an installed device profile.

I quickly realized that the messages were not in his company inbox but they were in an inbox called "daily bible verse." curious if anyone else has seen this yet.Ī user came to me with an iphone that had a bunch of SPAM emails in his inbox.
